Annemarie wanted a webshop to sell her artwork and her interior design book. We designed the website to enhance a customer’s buying habits. Potential customers select art from differing perspectives; colour, size, price. We also took account of a customer being able to visualise a painting’s size in terms of how much of the wall it would take up (using a sofa to gain perspective); to many people, 100 x 150cms doesn’t help them instantly recognise the size.

We made sure that each product contained each search keyword applicable to that painting. For example, each main colour was listed as some customers may be looking for a painting containing that colour.  We also made sure that in the product card, we thought about any questions or problems a customer might be thinking about that might stop them (or have them hesitate) buying. For example, we included pictures of the back frame of the canvases, included the hanging materials included and a video on how to hang the painting using the materials.
